ECF-Funded Programme

Food Saver Programme

Programme Details

Every morning, Food For Good's volunteer team visits wet markets and supermarkets across districts to collect unsold but still fresh vegetables, fruits, and bread. The recovered food is transported to a processing centre where it undergoes strict food safety checks and sorting.

Processed food is distributed through community networks to people in need, including transitional housing residents, elderly living alone, and underprivileged families. The programme also hosts food appreciation education activities, teaching the public how to reduce food waste and make good use of surplus food.
