What the truck does

The truck's activities sit across three areas: food-essential distribution, on-site cooking demonstrations, and district-level partnerships. Specific timings and locations are announced by partner organisations.

  1. Food-essential distribution — in partnership with food banks and local groups, handing out sauces, rice, oil, and other staples to residents in need.

  2. Live cooking demonstrations — the truck team shows how "ugly produce" can be turned into tasty dishes, promoting rescue-kitchen cooking.

  3. District partnerships — co-organised with district councils, schools, churches, and volunteer groups, with themes tailored to each district's needs.
