Food For Good Jockey Club Green Living Education Programme Food Waste Tie-dyeing Workshop
Under “Food For Good Jockey Club Green Living Education Programme”, a tie-dyeing workshop which involved the use of food waste to make dyes was held at “Food For Good Yau Tong Community Kitchen” on 25 November, 2017.
The making of dyes from food waste and the use of the dyes in tie-dyeing were demonstrated during the event. Participants were then able to experience the tie-dyeing process in person. Not only allowing people to experience the joy of tie-dyeing, the event also made good use of food waste, spreading the messages of cherishing good fortune and being environmentally friendly.
